Rafting Canyon + Lunch on the Lao River
You can enjoy a unique natural spectacle characterized by very high rock walls that form an extraordinarily beautiful canyon, springs flowing into the river create splendid waterfalls, among them the largest and most suggestive is the Malomo waterfall.
At the end of the route, you can savor an excellent lunch with typical products, including appetizers, first and second courses (fruit and drinks included).
The excursion along the Gorges of the Lao is particularly charming and begins at the foot of the inhabited center of Laino Borgo.
After 2 km of navigation, you reach the entrance of the gorge, which is entirely traversed for a distance of 14 km. You can enjoy a unique natural spectacle characterized by very high rock walls that form an extraordinarily beautiful canyon (UNESCO Geosite), springs flowing into the river create splendid waterfalls, among them the largest and most suggestive is the Malomo waterfall.
In some points, the natural course of the river does not allow the passage of rafts, and transfers are made for this reason. In the last kilometers, the scenery changes, the walls lower, beaches, and denser vegetation will accompany us until the landing, from where our vehicles will take us back to the base.

Safety is always our top priority.
Experienced and qualified guides will provide precise instructions before and during the activities.
Safety equipment (life jackets, helmets, etc.) will be provided before departure. Brief safety courses (15-minute briefings each) are also conducted, during which useful information and instructions are given for safety purposes.
What if it rains?
The center will adjust based on the severity of the weather.
In most cases, light rain is not a problem.
If the weather makes rafting activities impractical, it is still possible to reschedule. One thing is certain, in rafting, whether it rains or not, you will get wet anyway.
In any case, remember that suitable clothing will be provided!
How many people can fit on a raft?
The maximum number on our rafts is 6 people.
Based on the river’s water levels, the river supervisor can decide to increase or decrease the number of people on a raft, ranging from 4 to 6.
I heard there’s no water: is that true?
One of the main features of the Lao River is the consistency of its water flow, even in the hottest and driest months, always ensuring navigability for our rafts.
