River Trekking + Rafting + Lunch on the Lao River

Embark on an exciting adventure along the Lao River, exploring its beauties from two unique perspectives. Begin with River Trekking, a 1.5 km and one-hour experience, a light trail suitable for the whole family. Walk amidst nature, listening to the gentle whisper of water, and immerse yourself in small crystalline pools. A corner of paradise where local fauna and flora reveal themselves.

After this enchanting walk, the journey continues with Rafting “Soft”, covering 4 km in one hour, a perfect excursion for families. You’ll traverse calm stretches and areas rich in vegetation, alternating small rapids with glimpses of pure tranquility. The second part of the route becomes more thrilling, with rapids and jumps that provide fun for all ages.

At the conclusion of this gripping adventure, we’ll meet at our welcoming “Lao River Camp.” Here, surrounded by nature, we’ll enjoy a delightful lunch with zero-kilometer local products. After the meal, you can relax in the surrounding green meadows or take a short trek to visit the Grotto del Romito. An Upper Paleolithic site containing ancient evidence of prehistoric art, offering an immersion into history nestled in the beauty of nature. An experience that goes beyond excitement, transforming a simple journey into a story of unique discoveries and connections with the land and water.

The center provides the necessary equipment:
✅ Wetsuit;
✅ Waterproof jacket;
✅ Helmet;
✅ Life jacket;

To bring (not provided):
✅ Swimsuit;
✅ “Wettable” shirt;
✅ Dry change of clothes;
✅ Towel;
✅ Water-resistant shoes;

Safety is always our top priority.
Experienced and qualified guides will provide precise instructions before and during the activities.
Safety equipment (life jackets, helmets, etc.) will be provided before departure. Brief safety courses (15-minute briefings each) are also conducted, during which useful information and instructions are given for safety purposes.

What if it rains?
The center will adjust based on the severity of the weather.
In most cases, light rain is not a problem.
If the weather makes rafting activities impractical, it is still possible to reschedule. One thing is certain, in rafting, whether it rains or not, you will get wet anyway.
In any case, remember that suitable clothing will be provided!

How many people can fit on a raft?
The maximum number on our rafts is 6 people.
Based on the river’s water levels, the river supervisor can decide to increase or decrease the number of people on a raft, ranging from 4 to 6.

I heard there’s no water: is that true?
One of the main features of the Lao River is the consistency of its water flow, even in the hottest and driest months, always ensuring navigability for our rafts.
